Born in Arlington, TX in June of ’75. Grew up the younger of two boys. Moved around in Texas from Lewisville, to Cleburne, to Hereford. Then, in 6th grade moved to La Junta, CO. Attended Harding University for one year and then transferred to Abilene Chrsitian University. Met and married the most incredible girl there – and she still chooses me today, AMAZING! Began full-time ministry to students two weeks after we married. Brady was born two years later, in ’99…Reagan in ’02…and little Brycen in ’08. Stayed in student ministry until ’09, when we joined the pastoral staff of Journey Christian Community in Waco, TX. Became the Lead Pastor at Journey in April 2011.
Why ministry? It’s about calling and purpose. It’s about God having dreams and us saying, “Yes” to them. There have been times when I have considered doing something else…something “easier” or “less demanding.” And I could be about his purposes, doing anything. But this is what makes my heart come alive. It’s an amazing journey to partner with God for the sake of the hearts of people every day!
